Everyone at Talkin Boxing with Billy C’s thoughts and prayers are with Oscar Diaz and his family, as Oscar recovers from the life threatening injuries he suffered during last Wednesday’s fight with Delvin Rodriguez in San Antonio. Doctors DO expect Oscar to remerge from his coma. This week we are back as the thunderstorms rage on outside the Billy C studios in upstate NY – Billy and Keith Terceira go over the disputed James Toney/ Hasim Rahman bout from last week. A preview of the HUGE WBA Welterweight Title fight; between champion Miguel Cotto and challenger Antonio Margarito, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Saturday on HBO, in one of the most highly anticipated clashes of the year. Bill says Cotto. Keith says Margarito by TKO. Looking for respect and some justice from their last disputed encounter, former 2 time WBA World Heavyweight Champion John Ruiz is on the phones to go over his upcoming fight with the seven foot giant Nicolai Valuev for the vacant WBA title August 30th, in Germany. Clay Moyle, author of Sam Langford: Boxing’s Greatest Uncrowned Champion, checks in. (Pay attention this time Eric!). You can find his book at the link at www.Talkinboxing.com. World Boxing Organization President Ed Levine kindly stops by as well this week. PLUS: Jeff Lacy will square off against Epifanio Mendoza tonight (7/23) on Wednesday Night Fights, and we’ve got the preview. And, Calzaghe/Jones Jr. postponed, and Keith has the new fight date on his Inside Scoop! Blast From the Past: another great black heavyweight who unfortunately never got his fair shot at the World title: Harry Wills. All this and more tonight on Talkin Boxing with Billy C. Also check out the Billy C Morning Show everyday weekday morning at 6am, only of www.GoFightLive.tv
