Brewster promises a KO!
Former heavyweight champ “Relentless” Lamon Brewster (33-4, 29 KOs) is promising Danny Batchelder (25-5-1, 12 KOs) a knockout loss, when the two meet Aug. 30 for the vacant NABA heavyweight title at the Cincinnati Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio. The card is promoted by Brewster’s Relentless Events in conjunction with C’Believe and R&R Promotions. “I finally feel like the real Lamon Brewster again and that’s the Lamon Brewster I am ready to unleash on the world,” said the former WBO champ who lost his title to Serguei Lyakhovich in 2006, then was defeated by Wladimir Klitschko the following year in an IBF title bid. Brewster has been sparring with James Toney and Javier Mora in preparation for Batchelder. “It doesn’t matter if he’s in good shape,” says Brewster. “When I hit him that won’t mean anything. I’m going to knock him out.”

Danny Batchelder (25-5-1, 12 KOs) has, apparently, taken offense to former champ Lamon Brewster (33-4, 29 KOs), who promises to knock him out on Aug. 30 at the Cincinnati Gardens, Ohio, when the two meet for the vacant NABA heavyweight belt. “Lamon might think he’s coming in there and just blowing me out in a couple way rounds,” says Batchelder. “But if that’s what he’s thinking, he’s making a mistake.” Batchelder, who, like Brewster, is coming off a long layoff, says he has no problems meeting Brewster in a slugging match. “If that’s the fight Lamon wants, I’m planning on going right to him,” he says. “I’m not really planning on running anywhere, so I’m expecting a pretty entertaining fight out of this one.”
