MMA Big Show: Junie Browning Taps Scott Cornwell in Successful Return to the Cage – WATCH ON DEMAND AT GFL
Photo by Selina “Dead” Wong. Copyright Fighters.com.The Ultimate Fighter 8 lightweight “Lunatik” Junie Browning (4-1) submitted Scott Cornwell (1-1) in a reverse triangle at 3:13 of round one at MMA Big Show: Onslaught at Belterra Casino Saturday.
Former MMA Big Show middleweight champion “Mojo” William Horne (4-2) submitted “Merciless” Kevin Barkdull (1-2) in a rear naked choke at 4:01 of round one in the co-main event.
Cornwell entered the cage with the crowd going crazy while Browning entered amidst a barrage of boos. Browning used great footwork to avoid a few shots and then gave one of his own that dropped Cornwell. Browning jumped on top of him and ended up in half guard. Browning looked for an arm and, while defending, Cornwell gave up his back. Browning rolled him over and used rubber guard to look for a gogoplata, coming close to pulling it off. Browning switched to a triangle and then to a reverse triangle which ended the fight.
The fight between Horne and Barkdull hit the ground quick; and, Barkdull did a great job getting to butterfly guard. Horne worked to pass and made it to side mount where he postured up to unleash punches. Barkdull looked for a leg lock, but let it go as Horne took mount. Barkdull defended by giving up his back. It didn’t take long for “Mojo” to lock in the rear naked choke.
THIS SATURDAY NIGHT IS ALL MMA ON GFL MMA BIG SHOW AND Memphis EXTREME ‘LIVE’
NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 27, 2009)—This weekend, two big MMA events will take center stage on www.gofightlive.tv as controversial former UFC fighter Junie Browning takes on Scott Cornwell from Indiana while Memphis Extreme MMA I will launch its promotion from Memphis, Tennessee.
ONSLAUGHT – SATURDAY NIGHT AT 8PM EASTERN
Some have called him controversial while others call him the Bad Boy of MMA, one thing people can agree on is that he is can not be missed whenever he is on the air. Junie Browning will be applying his trade this Saturday night when he takes on Scott Cornwell in the main event of ONSLAUGHT from the Belterra Casino in Indiana. Browning, from Lexington, Kentucky appeared on the very popular Ultimate Fighter reality show where Browning had the highest television ratings for his fights.
In his first fight he won against Dave Kaplan before he was submitted by Cole Miller. It was soon after where Browning, who is known for his trash talking style, unraveled. There were suicide attempts and drinking that has the whole world wondering what Browning will do next. Browning who has a record of 3-1 will look for a big win over Cornwell, who is not intimidated in the least against the more known Browning.
Cornwell a native of Hamilton, Ohio is a Tae Kwon Do specialist has a submission victory in his only pro MMA fight believes that Browning’s name was built on everything but his ability.
There are thirteen big pro bouts on Saturday with the top undercard being a 185 lb showdown between Mojo Horne and Kevin Barkdull. Horne has a record of 6-2 and he takes on Barkdull who is 3-1. Horne is a veteran of MMA Big Show who has mixed success as he looks to get back in the win column after two defeats. Barkdull is equally desperate as he is coming off a loss in August so two fighters needing a win will look to pull out all of the stops to ascend to the next level.
In a battle of experienced 155 pounders, Chris Bennett brings his gaudy record of 15-1 into the cage as he takes on Brian “Cocky”Karmolinsky.

Watch Junie Browning Issues Apology on RawVegas.tv
“A human being is a lot more complicated than people think it is,” says Junie Browning as he attempts to explain why he reportedly assaulted some nurses and told them he would “kill and rape their family” when they tried to help him after he tried to commit suicide.
I’m not sure how many people at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nev. actually frequent MMA websites, but just in case they do, Junie Browning has sent out an official apology to them. Browning says he has been chased by demons his whole life and believe it or not he has actually gotten a lot better.

Cole Miller quiets Junie Browning…for now
Before their fight at Ultimate Fight Night 18, both Cole Miller (15-3) and Junie Browning (3-1) had some harsh words for one another. Browning repeatedly stated that Miller was overrated and Miller made it clear that he thought Browning was a “Douche Bag”. After the fight Miller was the only one who did the talking, shouting “Who’s overrated now?” after forcing Browning to tap out due to a guillotine choke in the first round.
Browning gained fame, good or bad, for his antics on season eight of The Ultimate Fighter. The footage showed Browning starting fights with other fighters and spitting on a black belt in front of the entire cast and their coaches at the UFC training center. Which, for all intents and purposes, seemed moronic considering that both Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, the shows coaches, have black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
